Clarinet Etude for Left Hand

Clarinet Etude for Left Hand was commissioned by a clarinet teacher whose student’s broken right hand was no excuse.  Designed for clarinetists with right-hand injuries or who simply want to increase their left-hand dexterity, this rhapsodic etude offers sharp stylistic contrasts, and large register leaps in an atonal harmonic language vaguely reminiscent of Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet.
