Breathe

Powerful and majestic, the music of Breathe pits the small-scale against the large-scale, colliding intricate rhythmic lines with broad, swelling “breathing” motives.  Heavy-hitting percussion and heroic brass fanfares cut through the warm, enveloping sound of the strings, replete with woodwind flourishes throughout.
 
Commissioned by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the piece is tailored for side-by-side concerts and can be enjoyed by orchestras of all ages.  To this effect, there are optional string parts tailored for beginners.
