Two Voices

Two Voices was written in celebration of the marriage of two very dear friends of mine.  Lush, rich harmonies underlie a languid melody, presented simply at first by the clarinet.  The melody is then intertwined between both instruments, representing the melding of two lives.  Energy builds to an emotional climax, which leads to the opening material that winds gracefully to a delicate ending.
